2006-2007 season

The season is winding down quickly. The last race is at Windam Mtn which should be a good race.  Here are some of our highlights from the last half of the season: Matt makes National Semi Pro Open final at Turning Stone.  He had a good race going in 8th place half way through till he hyper extended knee.  Greg takes 2nd at Schagicoke in Pro Open West. Jason takes 3rd in Pro Stock Central at Skowhegan. Greg takes 2nd in Pro open at Old Forge.  Jason gets a Fourth in Pro Stock and 3rd in Pro Open at Barton Vt. Jason takes a 4th in pro stock and 3rd in pro open central at Ossipee.  Greg Takes a 2nd in Pro Open at Toggenburg.  Jason finishes 3rd in Pro Open at Big Boulder and Greg takes 3rd in Pro Open West.

Essex VT Feb 11,12: Jason takes 5th in Pro Open and in stock. They placed good in qualifying and battled with broken suspension parts.  Matt and Jason makes it into the finals. Matt has a real bad start in open final.

Pit X Verona Feb 11,12: Greg takes 3rd in Pro stock and 4th in Open. Greg crashed in 3rd round of qualifying bruising back. He finished the weekend and looks forward to competing at Cortland.

Rutland VT- Jason takes 4th in Pro Open and 6th in Pro Stock. Matt takes 3rd in semi pro open

Pit- X Verona- Pictures Jason takes 2nd in Pro Open and 2nd in Pro stock. He finally makes it through his finals without getting tangled up.  Matt had some bad luck in semi pro open final spinning around on corner 2 while in third.  He moved from back of pack up to 5th or 6th. Matt finishes 7th in Pro stock Greg finishes 8th.

Windham NY- Matt holds 3rd for 14 out of 16 laps in X-games qualifier final what a awesome race to see.  If it wasn't for arm pump he would have finished. Jason held 2nd of half the race then gets pushed off track. He came back to 5th. Jason gets a 5th in pro stock and 7th in pro open. WINDHAM PHOTOS

Carrabbasent Valley ME- Jason misses X games by one point. He places second in x games qualifier final .  That was by far one of his best races this season.  He had a decesnt start putting him up in third. After the rhythm section he slotted into second chasing J. Boron for first. He gained on him almost looking like he could get close enough to pass and then 4 laps before the finish Jason falls off after corner. He gets back on and still takes a easy second.  He needed to win the final or if he would have placed one place better in qualifying he would have had the opportunity to race at Winter X games in Aspen Colorado. Jason wishes he had better starts in qualifying. We made some changes and it seemed to help allot in his final.   PICTURES FROM CARRABESENT

In The pro stock and open Jason gets tangled up off the start putting him a lap down in both races. Matt finishes a solid fifth place in pro stock and Greg finishes 10th in Pro Open.

Duluth 2005

We had a perfect day for racing. It was real cold but it was just as calm as could be. Matt placed 1-1-4 in sport stock qualifying. He had a fair start in first race then came on and passed 4 sleds in first lap and pulled away. In the second qualifier he had the hole shot and kept it the whole race. In the last qualifier he had a bad start and couldn't find a good line putting him in 4th.  In the final he had a mid pack start and worked his way up a few spots until he tried a new line resulting in flying off the track and losing the sled. He luckily just bruised his arm. From the looks of it it could had been worse.

Jason raced the x games qualifiers and had real bad luck. He was running in 4th for half the race till he got landed on from behind. In his second heat he was in third up to the last lap and then a arctic cat rammed him from behind causing him to fall off. In the last heat he went out for some practice not expecting to qualify and took 5th place.

Matt had some awesome races in the sport open finals. He finished 2-2-6 . In the races he got second he came from behind and worked his way up, Just like he was doing in his last race except for on the last corner before the down hill jump a sled hit him from behind and tipped him over. He was going into third before this happened. With a sixth place, he did not make it in to the lcq.

Jason had some tough heats in the semi pro open. He finished 5-3-5 but that did not get him into the lcq. Tomorrow is Semi pro stock and pro open and pro stock final. Should be good seeing Danny Poier in the front row.  He finished 1-2-3 I think which put him in 4th qualifier.  He has been giving the big boys a run for their money. Other racers from RMR that made it out was Cullen Howe, Branden Berardo who place 3rd in junior 10-13 final, Darin Mees, Tyler Webster, Robyn Smith and there might be some others that I forgot.

2004-2005 Race Season

Malone 1–

Matt was looking real impressive in the semi pro class. He had some good runs going in the stock and open final. In the 600 final he was running 3rd going for 2nd till the 2nd place guy crashed causing him to lock the brakes up and tip over, he got back on and still took 7th. Took 5th in the open . Last race of the day he was in third going for second with 3 laps to go, unfortunately he jumped to hard into the corner causing him to go off track.
Andy looked real impressive in his sport heats. In the final he took a hard earned 3rd and and 4th in the Junior 16,17.
Jason takes 8th in Pro Open and 14th in Stock. Greg takes 11th in stock and 13th in open.

Rutland- 1-22-05-

The races went real good but real cold.  Matt had one of his best weekends in qualifying. He went 1-1-3 in semi pro open. In stock 1-1-4. In 600 he got 1-2-8. Greg had some good runs in pro stock with 2-4-6. Open sled still needs some suspension work done. Jason had some good races considering his crash last weekend. But we will see what we can do in finals on Sunday
Rutland Finals- 1-23-05

Finals day was another cold day but with more wind. In Matt's semi pro 600 final he was out in first for half the race then he started losing power as result of carburetion or clutching.  We still don't know what caused it but it seems to be happening on all of our sleds.  Matt sled kept getting worse and eventually came to a stop causing him to go to 12th.  In the stock 440 final he got into first and then sled started to die out half way through.  He did all he could do to hold his spot but the sled would not let him. He luckily finished 3rd .  In the open he placed 4th with some carburetion problems.  Jason had a good run going in the Pro stock finishing 7th and Greg coming in 10th.  In the Pro open Greg took 8th and Jason's sled quit on lap 2 as result of a broken muffler bracket causing pipe exhaust hole being restricted by belly pan.  We worked hard to get a fast clutch set up off the line but now we've got some homework to do to figure out why they aren't holding their power.

Jamestown-

What a beautiful weekend for being outside racing.  It defiantly was one of the warmest weekends yet. Saturday started out cold but warmed up to 30s.  Qualifying went good with Greg taking 2-2-4 in stock and 1-2-3 in open. Jason took 3-1-1 in stock and 2-5-1 in open. Matt had some firsts in qualifying and some other good finishes.

 Jamestown Finals-

In the pro stock Greg gets the holeshot almost blowing over first corner and leads half the race till his brother Jason works his way through the pack and takes first.  Greg takes second.  In the Pro Open Greg takes 3rd and Jason comes from behind and worked his way to First again.  Matt takes 3rd in Semi pro stock. Man did Matt have bad luck off the starts in open and 600.  He gets held up in a wreck off line and puts him 3/4 lap down.  He made up some serious ground and for sure was having some of the fastest lap times.  In the Open he had a bad holeshot and got stuck again behind a wreck. Looking towards next week the team  should have some good results after figuring out a few problems at Jamestown

Rutland Feb 5 and 6th-

The team faced a tough track at Rutland the second time around, but it sure was a beautiful weekend for racing.  Saturday started out pretty rough for Matt with him crashing in practice as well as casing a double in a 440 qualifier ruining his suspension.  This caused him to lose first place and to start in the back row for the final.  However he finished off the weekend well battling up to 5th place in Semi-pro 440.  He really turned it up for the Open picking great lines leading him straight to the front.  In the 600 final he got a great hole shot and no one could touch him.  He finished the weekend off with two wins: Open and 600!   Greg had a good weekend in qualifying placing him in the front row for both finals.  Jason also did well in qualifying, both him and Greg are improving every weekend.  Jason had a good start in the stock final holding second for a few laps until he was hit off the corner.  He managed to hold on to 6th place while Greg placed 9th.  In the Open final Jason had a bad start spinning on a patch of ice.  Greg got out into the pack and had a good run.  Greg finished a respectable 8th place while still recovering from bronchitis.  Jason took tenth.

Salem NH-

We would like to thank Team Veolicity, Doug Wilberts Father and Dennis Murphy for helping rebuild Matts sled together in very little time. Without the help Matt would have never made it into the 440 or the 600 final.  Also we would like to thank Mike Murphy from Ingles Performance for supplying the parts and some help in fixing it.

Keene NH-

Greg and Matt both go to Keene to race while Jason heads to the national at Valcort.  Matt had one of his toughest weekends with parts breaking almost in every heat.  In his first round he lost some idler wheels, in his 3rd round the top of the shock wore through and broke.  He luckily made it into all 3 of his finals.  He was in the front row in the 600 and back row in the 440 and open.  In the 440 final his heat exchanger broke causing it to overheat. He was lucky to cross the line in 6th because it was dying out the whole race.  So in the 600 final he had to use Greg's sled which he had qualified on Saturday because of the shock breaking.  He had a tough time adjusting to different settings so he finished mid pack.  Greg had some descent qualifying runs qualifying 4th in each class and he took a 4th in 440 final and in the open he seized his sled 3 laps into the race while in 5th. It seized right before the table top but unfortunately it coasted up over and endowed in slow motion. Matt and Greg did not get hurt so everything is good other than a mess in the garage.  Matts heading to Maine this weekend to ensure he keeps his points position. Unfortunately we have to split up again which isn't fun and is a pain.

Valcourt-

Jason had some real impressive runs in qualifying and in the finals. He placed 3-2-3 in the open and 4-3-2 in stock.  In the open final he was running 4th till the last lap and then was taken out by another rider.  He had a good run in the stock final taking a 7th.  He started on the outside and was pinched against the wall so he said he didn't have a good holeshot.  With making both finals he is pumped to race at the Buffalo stadium next weekend to kick some ...

Barton VT:

Thank you to all the fans that came out on what was a snowy cold weekend.  Our weekend went good in qualifying with Matt making all of his finals with having to run a lcq in the 600 because of his front end breaking in a qualifier while he was in first place taking him back to 2nd from last.  Jason had some real good runs in the Pro classes with some 5ths and 4ths.  Jason sure has stepped it up the last couple of weeks and is training hard for haystack hoping to end the season on a good note.  In the 440 final Matt worked his way to second on the first to laps and gained on first up to the last lap, but then got passed in the corner by Brett Bender. Matt takes 3rd.  In the open Matt had a real good line in the rhythm section and was hard to pass. Matt takes 2nd and Tyler Sedlmier takes 1st.In the 600 Matt had a back row start and worked his way to sixth while having trouble getting through the rhythm section.

Swain:

Jason goes undefeated in qualifying and wins pro 440 final. He had first for 4 laps in the open final till his chain case broke in the    rythem section.  Greg and Matt stayed home to work and ride bikes.

Big Boulder

Jason takes 1st in pro open and 2nd in pro stock Matt takes 3rd in both of his pro finals and Greg Led the pro 440 final for 6 laps then hit a kicker and threw him off but ended up staying in 4th and took 5th in the open final.
